Parenting groups overview

Groups are available for parents and caregivers. Anyone who wants to improve their parenting skills is welcome. People always bring a range of experiences, strengths and challenges. Everyone has something to share.

People in the group are expected to contribute their own ideas and experiences but are not compelled to always do so.

Groups are usually of 6-12 people and are generally facilitated by 2 professionally qualified workers. We always have at least one facilitator with personal parenting experience.

Groups are generally held as 2 hour sessions for 5-6 consecutive weeks, during term time.

Some groups happen between 9.30-11.30 a.m. (morning) and others between 7-9 p.m. (evening). Blended Families is a one day workshop, generally held on a Saturday. (It also has a 2 hour follow up session).

Groups are generally held in Parentline’s big room.

We are happy to arrange a community venue if enough people want a group provided locally.
