Parenting Through Separation is a free 4 hour information programme to help families through separation. The content includes: how separation affects children, talking with children during separation, and talking with former partners about arrangements for the children. At the end of the programme you will receive a certificate as proof of attendance. Certificates are valid for 2 years.
The earlier in your separation you can get to a programme, the better for you and your children. Remember, you can go to a programme even if you are just thinking of separating. Even when people have been separated for some time, many still learn things that help to make things better for their children.
Parentline runs the programme in two 2 hour sessions, 6.30pm - 8.30 pm.
You will not be placed in a programme with your former partner.
The programme is for adults only, not children, but may include other family members - such as grandparents.
